Surfer

	Surfer      4' by 2.5' (122 cm by 76.2 cm)        Painted Dec 2010
	Surfer, Costa Rica
	I drew a grid on the canvas and then drew the picture. I drew the outlines of the clouds and the waves.
			Did a wash - sea - blue, mountain - green, the surf and the clouds - white.
			Painted the sky leaving the clouds for later on - when the blue color in the sky is a little dry. Will paint the mountain next; can start on the sea at the same time or the next day.
			Painted the mountain and the first part of the sea.  Added a little dark and light areas to the mountain to make it more interesting.
			Painted the second and third part of the sea. the second part itself has two parts - the darker top and the lighter bottom.  Remaining - the clouds; the surf and the surfer.
			Painted the sky - a little grey; painted the surf and the waves and then, I moved the surfer down, brought the surf a little lower, closer to the surfer and touched it up. Finished Dec 11, 2010
