                                                                                                                 Junquillal,  Costa Rica (a Leatherback turtle sanctuary)

Day -1:  Got the canvas selected - 30" by 48" - laid it on the ping-pong table to draw 10 by 10 squares.  Using the actual photo for the drawing. Loaded the picture on the Aluaratek viewer (500 by 333 pixels). The preliminary work is done.

Day 2: Drew the picture, outlining areas that are dark and couple of surfs.

Day2: Also painted the green area of the trees on the hill; and some dark areas.  Will do the brown of the hill/rocks and
then do the sky. Working on the top 1/3rd of the painting.

Day 3:  Painted the sky - tried to keep it light.

Day 4: Painted the hill, the rocks in the sea and the top part of the sea - half done (needs touching-up of the trees on the hill).

Day 5: Painted the rest of the sea - darker near the hill.

Day 6: Painted the beach/sand/dirt area - darker near the bottom.

Day 7: Painted the white surf/waves, touched up the dark/shaded area of the beach and the trees on the hill. Finished Jan 23, 2012
