| I drew a grid on the canvas and then drew the picture. Started by painting a third of the top - first dark green background using - Thalo green + Cerulean blue + mars yellow + gold ocher + black | ||||||
|

| Next, worked on other areas - 1) light leaves - cadmium yellow pale hue + cerulean blue + titanium white; 2) dark leaf - thalo green + cadmium yellow pale hue; 3) dried/drying leaves - mars yellow + gold ocher + light green from the paint bowl. | ||||||
|
||||||
| Painted the flower petals -
titanium white and used some mars yellow & gold ocher for the middle.
Painted all the dark background using the same scheme as in the first
picture. |

| Painted the light leaves and the
slightly darker leaves and all the white petals and the middle of the
flowers. Put some green/yellow lines using a fan brush on the
third flower's petal. |
||||||
|
||||||
| Finished by painting the light
yellow leaf and slightly drier leaf. Put a dab of green in the middle
of
the flowers and left to dry before trying to touch up the middle. |
