The drawing is simple - drew the outlines of the sun, the fire, the mountains, the trees and the horizon.

Did a green and blue wash - tried to keep the lines visible for when I start
painting.
This one should be fast and easy also (like the volcano and other paintings)

4milefire 04.jpg

Did the top background - black, white and blue (blended); painted the sun and the fire (2 hrs)

4milefire 05.jpg

Painted the bottom part of the sun/fire. (3 hrs for all of the middle background)

I figured out the techinique of doing large spaces like these - first paint the top outline;

4milefire 07.jpg

then fill up all the space and finally do the bottom outline and blend the color/s. (2 hrs)

Did the bottom background and touched the mountain shape.

4milefire 09.jpg

Painted the trees and retouched the mountain shape.  (2 hrs)

4milefire 11.jpg

Enlarged the sub and retouched the fire to give the mountain/outline
 a more defined shape.     (1 hr)    -   Total 10 hrs
