I made 1) The
bedside table (and painted it); 2) The lamp; 3) The bed - its resting
on a plywood board that sits on top of concrete blocks

|

|
My study desk -
made out of concrete blocks, a door (cut off) and a few boards and
bricks for shelves

OK
- so why did I make all this stuff? The local Sears wouldn't give me
credit to buy furniture - So, I bought a make yourself furniture book;
bought lumber from K-Mart; concrete blocks and bricks and had enough
furniture to last 3 years (I had a donated dining table and had bought
a few chairs) - the sofa lasted a long time - I used it in Denver till
1996
