First Trip - July 2002

I bought a trip to the Rainforest and Sarapiqui River. One hour out of San Jose the van broke down and we had to wait for 2.5 hours to get another van. The woman on the left is Christy from Belgium (she also ended up on another trip (Arenal volcano) with me.

In the Rain forest - Braulio Carillo National Park (Taken from the tram - they take you up low, then mid level and finally to the top; reverse  and bring you back.)

Some purple flowers growing on a vine up high. The vines hanging down are called Tarzan vines (by the locals.)

A Palm tree growing up high - the long curvy thing is the fruit which ripens and drops down to the forest floor.

A view from the top of the Rainforest.
